Superfoods - One of the Easiest Ways to Stay Healthy and Prolong Your Life

I’ve been searching for new and better ways to stay healthy for years, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I became aware of what antioxidants actually were. Antioxidants are chemicals (both naturally occurring and man-made) that can prevent or slow cell damage. It turns out the best source of antioxidants are fresh fruits and vegetables.

In particular, certain so-called “superfoods” have extremely high levels of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and essential amino acids essential for prolonging life. You may recognize the names of some of these superfoods as they are becoming better known in Western society, namely Camu Camu, Gogi Berry, Spirulina, Maca, Acai, Cacao, etc.

In a perfect world, we’d all eat plenty of superfoods on a daily basis, but the reality is that for many of us, these foods are difficult to come by in our local grocery stores, and the volumes you’d need to consume for optimum benefit are at best inconvenient.
